Why Chiropractic
Why Chiropractic and how does it work?
It’s really simple: Your brain, the most important organ in the body, the one that controls all else, communicates to the body through the spinal cord and nervous system. Your spinal cord is housed within your spine. When your spine slips out of alignment (subluxates) due to stresses or trauma, this can put pressure on the spinal cord and nervous system. Symtoms may or may not ensue. Left unchecked, this can worsen, degenerate and causes ill health.
Patients will present to the chiropractor with many different health complaints. While there are many different adjuncts to therapy, the most commonly used tool in the chiropractor’s bag is the adjustment. When the spine is adjusted back into proper position, pressure is taken off the spinal cord and nerves. Over time, this will allow the brain to properly communicate with the rest of the body, so that you can function, heal and recreate like you should. While chiropractic doesn’t cure disease, it allows your body to function better, so that you have less aches and pains, more energy, better immunity so you can better enjoy doing the things that make life fun!
